Our School Expectations

We ask that all students meet our uniform expectations by wearing:

  • A green Wildern jumper
  • A white shirt
  • A Wildern tie
  • Black trousers (not leggings) or a Wildern pleated skirt
  • Black leather or vegan leather shoes

We look forward to seeing all students arriving back to school smartly dressed in their uniform.

Following student feedback Block 3 toilets will be open throughout the school day instead of Block 6 and Block 2.

They’ve helped thousands of people successfully quit smoking; in laboratory tests, they’ve been found to be up to 95% less harmful than cigarettes; and they’ve been hailed as “a game changer for public health” by one independent review. So why exactly are vapes and e-cigarettes still regarded by many experts as controversial and potentially dangerous?

In terms of young people, the issue is availability. Vapes (containing nicotine) aren’t supposed to be sold to under 18s: a fact at odds with the rising number of school-age users and the products’ colourful packaging and child-friendly flavours. Our guide summarises what trusted adults need to know about the potential dangers of vaping for young people.

What Parents and Carers Need to Know about Persuasive Design Online

For many companies who operate in the online space, attention and engagement are the holy grail. Social media sites in particular make deliberate creative choices to keep people scrolling, reading, watching and clicking. This phenomenon is known as ‘persuasive design’ and it’s being employed in the vast majority of the digital world’s most popular destinations.

A study by the charity 5Rights Foundation concluded that “…the brain's response to rewards and punishments can be leveraged through persuasive design to keep children online.” To tie in with Safer Internet Day 2024, our guide can help to educate youngsters on the effects of persuasive design – and suggests ways to insulate themselves from its influence.
