At our school, we pride ourselves on offering a wealth of opportunities for our dance students to grow and thrive. Each year, we host 3 spectacular dance showcases in the Berry Theatre, providing students with the chance to share their talent and creativity with a live audience.
We also compete in DanceLive!, a national competition that challenges and inspires performers at the highest level. In addition, students have opportunities to participate in workshops and performance opportunities with our post 16 links at Barton Peveril College and Chichester University.
Dynamism, Wildern’s all Boys dance company have close links to Fuzzy Dance Company and will be performing at the ManMade performance at The Mast Theatre.
These diverse experiences ensure our students gain invaluable insights into the world of dance and performance.

Today we were very lucky to host the Metropolitan Police. 120 Year 10s & 11s signed up to hear about Policing London, civil disorder, online safety and how a variety of career pathways link to Public Services. This was closely linked to our recent Education for Life lessons on public disorder and online safety. #Curiosity #WeAreWildern

You may have seen recent social media posts by Hedge End Police highlighting the anti-social behaviours and criminal activities that are happening by a core group of young people in the St Luke's Close / Shamblehurst Lane / Drummond Road area of Hedge End. The Police have asked that if you see young people behaving antisocially please call 101 and let the call taker know this is happening now. If they can get there and deal with it they will do. If there is a crime in progress or immediate threat of violence call 999 and give as much detail as you can.
We are working closely with Hedge End Police to help our community feel safe.

What Parents & Educators Need to Know about Online Grooming
Online Grooming is when someone befriends and builds an emotional relationship with a child and communicates with them through the internet with the intent to commit a sexual offence. This type of victimisation can take place across any platform; from social media and messaging apps to online gaming and live streaming. Often it involves young people being tricked, forced or pressured into doing something they wouldn’t normally do (coercion) and often the groomer’s goal is to meet the victim in a controlled setting to sexually or physically abuse them. In some cases children may be abducted or have long-lasting psychological damage.
In the guide, you'll find tips on a number of potential risks such as strangers online, closed messaging and emotional attachments.
